How to Get Started?

Download the App and scan the QR code provided in the letter issued by SCE.

Complete the registration process and identity verification.

Select a Plan & add fleet details then choose the required plan and enter vehicle information.

Proceed with order placement after successful identity validation.

Book an installation appointment by selecting an available time slot for installation.

FAQs
General Compliance & System Requirements
Q1: We already have GPS trackers from another provider. Do we still need to use stc’s system?
A: Yes, as per the new SCE law, stc’s fleet management system is mandatory for all waste management vehicles.
Q2: Can we integrate our existing fleet management system with SCE or stc?
A: No, SCE requires all vehicles to use stc’s tracking system exclusively. Non-compliance means vehicles cannot operate or access dumping sites.
Q3: Why can’t stc link with other tracker providers?
A: The SCE law mandates a unified platform, ensuring consistent tracking and compliance for all waste management vehicles.
License & Subscription
Q4: Do we go to stc for license renewal?
A: Yes, stc handles license renewals for fleet management.
Q5: When should we apply for renewal?
A: Three months before expiry is recommended.
Q6: Will the subscription fee change after the first year?
A: No, the fee remains BD 120 per year.
Q7: Does BHD 120 cover all costs?
A: BHD 120 includes trackers, sensors, installation, and IT support. However, monitoring dashboard access and the BHD ** license fee are separate.
Q8: When and how is the BD 120 fee paid?
A: The BD 120 fee is paid in advance at the time of installation per truck.
Installation & Appointments
Q9: How long does it take to book and complete installation?
A: Appointments are available as early as the next day, subject to availability. Installation takes 1 to 1.5 hours.
Q10: Can we request installation at our workshop?
A: No, SCE mandates that all installations take place at designated stc locations.
Q11: What happens if a vehicle is in the workshop/garage without waste?
A: Vehicles without waste will be marked as ‘Idle’ in the system, as tracked by the weight sensors.
System Features & Additional Costs
Q12: Is there an additional charge for monitoring access?
A: Yes, fleet monitoring dashboard access requires an additional fee of BHD **.
Q13: How do we receive tracking reports?
A: One master user can configure and schedule reports daily, weekly, or monthly, with access for multiple users.
Device Replacement & Data Access
Q14: What happens if an issue occurs after installation?
A: Technical support is included in the BHD 120/year fee. However, device replacements are chargeable.
Q15: Can we transfer a tracker to another vehicle?
A: Yes, tracker relocation is possible with a minimal charge.
Q16: Can we extract tracking data?
A: Yes, if you have monitoring access, you can extract all data, including sensitive information.
Q17: What happens to the data after the 3-year contract ends?
A: Data is stored for the duration of the service. For renewal options, contact stc.
Q18: Will web-based KPIs be available?
A: This is under review, and confirmation will be provided later.
